God has blessed me financially. I can buy name brand items anytime I want.  Today, I was putting on my SKIMS loungewear and as I was doing it I looked at the label and said “Thank you Lord, it’s because of you I can afford nice things.” Then I went on to think about the person and name behind the label, Kim Kardashian, and how people get excited for her clothing releases and how they are proud to wear her name and brand. 

Then the Spirit took hold of me and asked, “How do you wear the name of God and does it excite you?” Yall, I was just trying to get dressed. I had no intention to have a deep conversation with the Holy Spirit at that moment, I was just preparing to relax. But, the job of the Holy Spirit is to speak what is spoken to Him, help us exalt God and be the source of revelation and wisdom, so I had no choice but to go there with him.

The question asked was so that I could do personal reflection and I invite you to do the same. When was the last time you got excited about the labels that God gives you and acted on them? He labels us beloved, as His children, as friends of God, as an ambassador of Christ, as chosen people and so much more! 

The culture makes such a huge emphasis on the names that are on your shirt, shoes, purses and hats. None of that matters if you don’t have the Name attached to your life. Friends, don’t be duped. There is one name above all names. Make sure that you wear it everyday and know that Name personally because He knows yours.
