God is like your Alexa (or your Google hub if you’re fancy). Just like God, these devices are always listening and waiting for us to call out or give a command. Sometimes we forget about our Alexa or Google being present in the room, but just like God they readily receive our words. 

I was talking to God one day and I summed up my prayer/conversation by thanking God for simply listening to me. I had just finished giving Him an earful. I told him the same situation three different times and ways, by the time I was done talking my mind and mouth was tired. 

I had to laugh to myself because so often and quickly we get tired too much conversation. It can overstimulate us. However, God is so loving and caring that He doesn’t. He never gets tired of listening to us. Matter of fact Psalm 116 says He inclines his ear to us. So that means not only is He waiting for us to speak to Him, but He also delights in us communicating with Him. About anything, about everything. 

So talk to Him friends! 

Just like you would say, “Alexa turn off my lights.” or “Hey Google, show me a recipe for salmon.”,  you can simply say, “Hi God, it’s me.”

I don’t know about you but it excites me that I have a forever friend that no matter the topic, we can talk about it without any judgment and without getting bored of listening. The cherry on top is that He talks back! Not the preprogrammed responses that Alexa and Google will give, but tailored, customized and specific responses is what He gives to his children. 

So I’ll stop typing, so you can stop reading and go talk to the Father.
