I’m laying on my back, arms at my side, as if I’m on a surgical table and I begin to pray. As I’m praying I think about everywhere I need a healing touch.
I experience chronic headaches so I prayed over my head and envisioned the Lord performing surgery on my nerves and making everything function properly.
Then I recalled my emotional afflictions and I saw God holding my heart in His hands, whispering kind words of comfort to it.
Lastly, I prayed for spiritual boldness and endurance and I saw Him lay himself on top of me, representing His spirit that is given to all believers.
This imagery was personal, powerful and encouraging that a holy and high sitting God would care about my afflictions. Not only care but comfort me through them and bring me through them.
I tell you about this experience in hopes you would pray and believe that that God will be attentive to anywhere you hurt.
Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
Psalm 30:2
See you next week!
