Worship music is a sweet sound found in the house of God.
Prayer is a sweet sound found in the house of God.
Testimonies are a sweet sound found in the house of God.
A sound that’s just as sweet or even sweeter can easily be missed and it’s this: the turning of pages.
In this digital era, we can have our bibles on any screen possible. It’s a privilege and a nice option because the Word is portable and always at our fingertips.
But there’s nothing like the pages of a physical bible. It’s something about the unison and harmonies of pages being turned by the fingers of the saints. It’s something about seeing notes written on the margins and the furious markings of the highlighter spanning page after page.
When I hear that sweet sound of pages turning in the house, it’s like music. It sounds to me like whispers of “God I need your word, please meet me here”, it sounds like the bread of life being taken in as nourishment and it sounds like God speaking back to us.
Oh the sweet sound of turning pages in the house of the Lord.
May it never stop.
See you next week!
