Today in church Reverend Carr said something profound, “Let your audio match your video”.
Think about that for a moment.
Let’s say you are watching a movie and the lips of the speaker don’t match the words coming out of their mouth or the visuals buffer causing the screen to be stuck, but the audio keeps playing.
There is an obvious mismatch.
Not only is it annoying but that inconsistency causes you to question the authenticity.
As the body of Christ, just as Jesus reflects the Father, we are to reflect Jesus.
Our words should match what Jesus would say.
Our actions should align to what Jesus would do.
Our thoughts should compliment what Jesus thinks about us, others and our community.
Does your audio match your video?
Are you authenticated by Christ?
Dear Father, help us to plant your ways, words and thoughts into our being. Nurture these things to grow strong root systems so they display on the outside. We want to be hearers of your word, but most importantly doers of your word. Let our authenticity in You shine, so that the world may see we are different, but fully aligned. Le them ask what it is about us that causes us to stand out and so we can tell them about Your saving grace. Lord, we thank you for everything we get to be because of your blessings. Thank you for laying the foundation and roadmap for us to follow. Now let us follow and continue on. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
See you next week!
