Freedom Bells

This past Thursday was Juneteenth, we celebrated liberation and the message of freedom that arrived to the remaining enslaved people. The motion of freedom was set in place over two years ago, but its effect didn’t reach every person. There were still slaves in Galveston, Texas completely unaware that freedom bells were ringing in the distance. General Granger took on the mission to bring the news to those still in bondage.

Fast forward to 2025, there are people still waiting to hear the good news, the gospel. There are people in your neighborhood, at school, at work, or in your book club that are in bondage and oppression, who have no idea that they have a life changing chance at freedom.

Galatians 5:1 says, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

John 8:36 adds, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

The true freedom that Christ offers is like no other!

We need people like you and I, who know the truth to spread it. Paul repeats in Romans 10:15 what Isaiah said, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Meaning the messenger who brings the good news of salvation through Christ is a bringing a beautiful message of peace, hope and salvation!

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” Romans 10:14

Pray that God will open your eyes to the true needs of the people around. Ask the Spirit to give you courage to speak because the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

Our feet carry our bodies everywhere, let them also carry the good news into the places you go.

Freedom.

Liberation

The good news.

See you next week!
