Your Sprouts Are Showing

The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes. Write the name of each man on his staff. 3 On the staff of Levi write Aaron’s name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe. 4 Place them in the tent of meeting in front of the ark of the covenant law, where I meet with you. 5 The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites.” 6 So Moses spoke to the Israelites, and their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes, and Aaron’s staff was among them. 7 Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent of the covenant law. 8 The next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron’s staff, which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds. 9 Then Moses brought out all the staffs from the Lord’s presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.

Numbers 17:2-9

This scripture is for the person who has been chosen by God, but it hasn’t been easy to walk in the calling because of opposition.

You may have encountered those who think you are substandard for the assignment, job, promotion or opportunity. They probably even think that they can implement, speak or plan better than you. They may have made every attempt to cancel the favor bestowed on your life.

However, in the words of Pastor McElroy…

Favor ain’t fair.

Pastor Mac

God chose you for the assignment! Favor will turn people from opposing you to assisting you with the resources you need. Favor will put you in a place of influence. Favor will propel you faster. Favor will cause strangers to encourage and respect you.

According to Numbers 17:8, God will not only make His choice (you) known to your inner circle or community, but will also allow you to “bud” and “blossom” because of it.

Go and be great in the Lord! Be faithful over what He has asked you to do and be encouraged that opposition against you doesn’t make you less of God’s choice.

Your staff is budding. Favor is upon you. It’s go time.

See you next week!

Thank you Brittany for the feeding. Yes, often God calls us for an assignment and we allow distractions, doubts to intervene. We all have a purpose and an assignment!! He will equipped us for the assignment He calls us to. Speaking of FAVOR / FAIR : What is true is that God’s favor is not necessarily equally distributed in all cases but His favor is fair because God is fair. Joseph, for example, yielded more favor in the eyes of God in comparison to his older brothers (Genesis 39.3-5). So much so that they eventually needed him for their own needs (Genesis 42-45).
God is always the standard of good and evil, what’s right or wrong, and ultimately, what’s fair or not. Regardless of how and when God chooses to favor us, we never have to be envious of someone else’s favor or feel slighted because God always looks after His own (Psalm 37.28). Brittany Keep this going Brittany 🥰
