The Road to Resurrection

Our Savior is alive.

Our debts are paid.

Our sin is forgiven.

We’ve been saved.

Rejoice, Sunday is here.

I hope you had a reflective Holy Week. I hope you buried yourself in scripture, I hope you cried tears of gratitude, I hope you had a breakthrough, I hope you sat in the pressure and heaviness that comes with this week and I hope you pondered the depth and full events that took place during the road to resurrection.

There is so much I can say about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but scripture says it best. Here are a couple passages you can read:

  • Matthew 28
  • John 20
  • Isaiah 53

From this Easter Sunday to all the days to come, may we remain focused on the resurrected life of Jesus Christ.

Resurrection Prayer

Risen Lord, the way, the truth and the life. I’ve heard the story so many times. How a kiss betrayed you and how your friend denied you. I know sometimes that I did the same, letting you down.

But still, you suffered, bled and died for me. You let them whip you, crown you with thorns, mock and beat you. You let the cross dig into your back. You spread out your arms while the nails drove deep. Your innocent blood soaked the earth. Then you gave up your spirit freely and willingly.

All for the children you love.

Let me not look away this time. Let me not turn back to sinful ways. When it gets dark and scary, I will cling to you. I will hold tight. I know you will never leave me. You promised me a room in paradise with you.

In your wounds I find peace. There, I place all my hope. Grant that we may be inwardly renewed, dying to ourselves in order that you may live in us.

May our lives serve as signs of the transforming power of your love. Use us as your instruments for the renewal of society, bringing your life and love to all. We thank you for what you did on the cross and the access we now have to the throne and the promise of being a joint heir with you.

Lord Jesus, living and reigning with the Father, we praise you and thank you for paying it all and depositing that same resurrection power within us.

Amen.

See you next week!

This Holy Week was amazingly different in comparison to the other years. Each day I had an epiphany moment. After reading your blog I would say you had a revelation as well.😀 what an awesome week!!!

Watching the movies Son Of God, The Passion of the Christ was so impactful and emotional this time around. I could not control my tears.

Jesus crucifixion was a non-negotiable truth, for he is the truth and without it Christianity could not exist.

Jesus’ resurrection from the dead was the crowning achievement that forever separates Him from any other religious leader who has ever been or will ever live. No other religious in history has ever prophesied His own death and resurrection and then accomplished it. He did it for us (me)!!

Thank you Jesus for the victory by faith, thank you for the victory in-spite of, thank you for victory because of what You’ve done on Calvary we should now declare VICTORY is ours!!

    Thank you Jesus.

Brittany I look forward to next week🥰
