27 is my favorite number. I’ll be turning 27 in four days. Why is 27 my favorite number? Well, I’ll give you the backstory, but in short it’s because of its foundation of kindness and love.
In high school, one of my best friends and I had the same math class. Everyday he was kind enough to get my calculator for me so that I wouldn’t have to leave my desk and stand in line. Each calculator had a number on it so that the teacher would know if one went missing. He had gotten my calculator several times before, but on one occasion he got two calculators that added up to the number 27 and from that day on the number on his calculator and mine would total 27. So the number 27 became our “insider”. We would say “27” to each other in the hallways or text it to each other. It started to be our way to share a platonic love.
In January, I declared my 27th year to be my love year. I am expecting that God will bring me either love romantically or platonically, I will intentionally love what and who I do have, I will love on God more and I declare strangers will love on me however God calls them to. Either way, love will be my portion this year!
I can’t wait to see what God has stored up for this new year of life and I’ll be sure to come back here with several testimonies.
What are you expecting from God? Expecting God to act on your behalf is a demonstration of trust.
“Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” – John 16:24
“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” – John 15:7
The word of God doesn’t lie. So ask freely in alignment with His will. Now, because I am expecting love, I will also give it generously as well, so when it’s given back to me it to be pressed down, shaken together and running over.
See you next week!
