Asked and Answered

I had a client meeting at 3 pm on Thursday and I just didn’t feel like doing it. I knew all the material I had to present and felt confident but a mix of nervousness and not wanting to be bothered was pinned to me still.

In moments like that, I make it a habit to go before God and thank Him for my job because there are people who would love to be in my position of having employment and then I ask Him for peace. The scripture on my mind in particular that I prayed back to Him was Romans 15:5. I needed the Lord to encourage me and allow me to press on until 5 pm.

How about at 2:48 pm, just as I was getting back online from my lunch break, an email came in from the client saying they needed to reschedule.

Cue the praise dance.

When I tell you I told my immediate circle of people the good news so fast, because when God has been good to you, you can’t keep quiet about it. I truly experienced in that moment the full joy of the Lord.

I was so excited for the exceeded expectations, the joy was building up in my heart and tears formed in my eyes because the Lord heard and answered me and gave me more than I expected. So I asked, “God what can I do for you in return?”

I recalled Isaiah 64:6 saying that our righteous acts are like filthy rags. Within context, this scripture is referring to not being born again in Christ and accepting His credited righteousness but it also answered my question on what I could do for God: rejoice in Christ Jesus for the many benefits and blessings.

So that’s what I did.

Big or small, take time to give thanks. Pause for a moment to realize the kindness of God. Exalt Him for caring, hearing and doing on your behalf. Love on Him because He loves you!

See you next week!

We can exalt God, figuratively speaking, in many, many ways not only by raising our voices to praise Him, but also by lowering ourselves before Him in humble worship. I mean worship Him, no matter where you are. Sometimes, literally bowing before God is a fitting response to His greatness. The physical gesture (raising your hands, kneeling or in a child like pose) can help our hearts to bow before Him in submission. This right here is a POWERFUL prayer of praise: Lord, I adore you. Father, I praise your name above all names! God, I thank you for the work and power you do in my life. Lord, you alone are God and I worship you in this moment and forever!! 🙌🏽. Brittany, yes as you stated we must praise Him for the small as well as the big things in our lives. Lord I thank you for using, speaking to you Brittany and for her being obedient to You & Holy Spirit. To God be the GLORY!!🙌🏽
    See you next week honey!!
