Time to Cash In

Coupons and discounts are my thing! I will search for coupons, save coupons, share coupons with others and make sure before the cashier scans the coupons even if the fine print says it may not work. I bought some really cute boots from Target for full price and then later they went on sale.

Target’s policy includes price matching so I went back to the store to get the difference from the discount.

It would be an $8 return to my wallet and I know for some that’s just not worth the hassle, but the policy made it available to me and the rest was on me to take action and go get it.

When it comes to the promises of God, will we go get them? Will we actively seek what is available to us?

If I didn’t know or remember what I read in the Target policy I wouldn’t have had the knowledge or confidence to go back to customer services and ask for what I was empowered to receive.

Similarly, if we don’t read the word of God how can we know the promises, powers and gifts that we have through Christ? How can we have confidence to “cash in” on something we are unaware of?

So I pray you not only read your bible, but to hide the word in your heart. So that when you need it, you can cash in on your power, cash in on your promise and cash in on your authority.

$8 isn’t much these days. It doesn’t stretch as far as it used to, but God’s peace, goodness, faithfulness, precepts, mercies, love and salvation covers and extends over your entire life!

So, will you go back? Will you revisit His word daily? Will you position yourself to receive what is promised to you through Christ? Or will you stay where you are, not taking full or all ownership of everything God said you can have?

Go back.

Cash in.

Receive what’s yours.

See you next week!
