We usually have a few deliveries per week, so we created a tiered snack cart for our delivery drivers and put out a cooler that has cold drinks inside. Most of the time everyone takes a snack and a drink, but recently some have been declining.
One day I was preparing to put out the cart and the cooler. I gathered the drinks, collected ice, arranged them neatly and placed everything outside. While I was doing all that, I was thinking about how no one took snacks yesterday and I felt like I was wasting all this effort for one delivery and one person. Unsure if they would partake in the gift.
I almost decided not to do it at all. I mean afterall it was only one person and not the several that I’m used to.
Then I was instantly convicted because God would do it and He did do it.
Less is more and meaningful to God.
My mindset was it was only delivery, one person, so would it really hurt to skip on the snacks?
I’m thankful God does not operate like me.
God’s mindset is that even for one person, He would go to Calvary.
Even for the one person, He would count it worth being crucified again.
Even for the one person, He would offer Salvation.
Even for the one person, He would always be their God.
Even for the one person, He would seek them out.
Just for you.
He has done it and will continue to do it.
The number one may be small or insignificant in the natural, but for God it’s valuable and worthy.
So the next time you get to testify to one person, impact one’s faith or show unmerited kindness to someone, even if it looks like they didn’t take the gift of your words with them, it’s always worth offering!
See you next week!
