He Cares for You

I want you to read Job 38 and 39.

Aside from it being words from the Lord and beautifully written, it gives a whole new level of appreciation for God’s power, majesty and sovereignty.

The book of Job is such an interesting book because it highlights why suffering can happen, righteous versus the wicked, warns about advice without wisdom, repentance of sin, what God’s justice looks like and more!

Every time I think of the book of Job my mind defaults to “great suffering”, but chapters 38 and 39 have changed that. Yes, most of this book is about Job’s lament and his conversations with his friends, but if you make it to the end, if you keep going, you’ll get to hear God.

Just like in life, if you keep going, keep enduring and pressing towards the mark, God will be there at the finish line waiting for you.

What I love about these chapters, 38 and 39, is that if you ever wondered what God’s daily agenda looks like or what He gets to see by sitting in the heavens, He gives you a glimpse. It’s so detailed and overwhelming that it felt like they were personal secrets of the Father that was only being disclosed to me. It put me in awe that on top of all that, and more, God never is too busy for us!

In light of what the book of Job represents, if you ever feel frustrated, afraid or ready to accuse God of not caring about you, what you are going through or that He doesn’t know what’s best for you, remember these chapters.

Surely, a God who owns, rules and cares for all living things can be trusted to care for you.

See you next week!
