The Big Day

It’s a big day for many, it’s Super Bowl Sunday! A highly anticipated day for so many different reasons. The food, the parties, the big screens, the cheering, the full blown dedication to your team of choice. There will be comradery, yet division between the two sides.

Every year, year after year, the second Sunday in February, you know what day it is.

I have another question.

Are you ready for the big day? The coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Have you chosen your team? Team Life or Team Death?

Do you bear the symbol of God or the world?

Is your praise louder than the cheers of man?

Who are you dedicated to?

Unlike the Superbowl, we don’t know the day or hour. However, in the likeness of the Super Bowl, we need to prepare, deciding the side we belong to, whose image we will bear and what table we want to eat from.

1 Corinthians 10:21 says you can’t eat of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Emphasizing the difference in life of Christians and non-Christians.

I am not calling the Super Bowl demonic, just a mere illustration of the importance of choosing a side and being fully committed to it.

Choose this day whom you will serve!

If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior, the perfect one who shed His sinless blood for you, I personally invite you to do so.

Romans 10:9-10 says:

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

It’s a choice, a matter of the heart and confession. If you desire to make the Lord your Savior, you can pray this simple prayer:

Lord, I need you. I believe in you and I want to have a relationship with you. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe you are the Son of God who rose on the third day for my victory. Come into my life and change me for the better.

In the Super Bowl, we want our team to be the victor. The truth is, only one can win and no one knows which team that will be. I can guarantee you a winning side and that’s Jesus’ side.

Come join the winning team!

See you next week!
