Little Things

Recently I told my sister that there are so many new songs that are titled “Little Things” or “Little Nothings” or have some combination of those words. I believe that’s a sign to appreciate the small things in life.

Lately, it has been the little things for me!

I want to share three “little things” with you that have blessed me tremendously because they are answered prayers, mood boosters and praise starters.

  1. Cookie Coupon

One of my favorite cookie places is Tiff’s Treat. The day before I planned to visit, they sent out a coupon that was only good for that day. What made me chuckle about this is not because I prayed, but it was the intensity of the prayer. I was serious about those cookies and a discount! How about on my way to Tiff’s, a 40% off coupon lands in my email! I teared up, thanked God for caring about my cookie dilemma and headed to get my discounted cookies.

  1. Nice people

I am not being dramatic at all, but everywhere I go I am constantly running into the sweetest people. People who just want to talk and spend a few moments with you, some who share their personal stories and others who just want to stop you for a compliment. I thank God for sending kind people my way. As the world falls to their devices or wickedness and schemes, we expect kindness, compassion and selflessness will be destroyed too. But my God told me to look around and be encouraged because it is his kingdom, his agenda, his ways and will that will outlast everything. His kind people, put in my path reminded me of that.

  1. Sunshine

The sun has been bright! I’m talking full radiance, high in the sky and warming everything under it. On most sunny days, I go outside and face the sun and pray to the Son!

The little things, with the right perspective and heart, mean so much!

Oh God, I thank you!

In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

See you next week!
