Satan perverts and twists everything God created. He wants to be God so bad that he takes great pride and time to slip into the smallest cracks and permeate from there. Most recently in my self reflection I noticed a “crack” in my life that I need to seal up. I’m bringing this to light in case you experience this too because we all know Satan is limited with his tricks and tactics, but extremely persistent nonetheless despite his lack of creativity.
When I get excited about something, whether it be a good meal, an exciting trip, a great purchase or whatever the scenario may be, my body buzzes with excitement. Emotions are good and God has blessed us with them to understand and enhance life. Emotions are intended to be a part of the human experience, a gift from God who created us in His image. But for me, the enemy has tried to pervert the buzz of excitement into anxiety. Where my excitement will slowly transition to heightened anxiousness and a hurried spirit of anticipation of what’s to come.
At each of these attempts by the enemy, instead of sitting in the anxiety and letting it settle, I call him out! I ask the Lord to contend with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!
In short, recognize the enemy’s work and invoke Jesus’ authority.
See you next week!
