Kudos to You

1–2 minutes

At my company we have the concept of Kudos, which is an opportunity to show gratitude or give a shout out to your peers for exceptional work, being helpful, etc.

Kudos can fall into 5 different categories and the categories I consistently receive recognition for are “Do what you say” and “We before me”.

I’ve come to realize that is the way I bring Jesus into the workplace.

Without even saying his name or quoting scripture, God has allowed me through action, kindness and being a team player to display his characteristics every single day.

What an honor!

If I had to attach scripture to these categories it would be these:

Do what you say

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. Proverbs 22:1

We before me

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2:3-4

You also can and should bring Jesus to work. Other ways to be a light for God include working with humility and joy, being a respectful, kind and trustworthy colleague. These things won’t go unnoticed and when someone approaches you to build a conversation around these amazing traits you display, that’s a perfect opportunity to give your personal testimony.

God is everywhere, so take him everywhere!

See you next week!

  1. Wow! Wow! This right here touched home. Brittany this is very honorable of you. Kudos to you Brittany for expressing your faith without shame in the workplace and allowing your light to shine. YOU WILL ALWAYS WIN as you keep God first. For believers who prioritize God’s kingdom, Christ promises that their needs will be met. Brittany, I totally admire and agree with you. This blog is impactful. As a believer it is as simple as you stated through action, kindness, being a team player and most importantly NOT being selfish, stealing ideas or credit for work that’s NOT yours.
