Jesus is the living water.
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” – John 4:13
Jesus is the light of life.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12
Jesus is the bread of life.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. – John 6:35
Do you notice the theme? Everything Jesus is described as are the primary requirements for growth and life itself.
Plants need water, light and food.
Humans need water, light and food.
The physical design of the world will always point to the Master!
Do you want to grow in God? Here are some practical ways to do that.
- Mine the living well that Jesus is. Draw from the depth and never ending well of his love, mercy, wisdom and grace.
- Step into the light. Do not fear what will be exposed to Jesus, he already knows it as well as exactly what to do with it. Come as you are and let Jesus put in you a new heart and right spirit.
- Live on the daily bread, which is the word of God. Read and absorb its nutrients.
See you next week!
