Reflection

Do you remember the five W’s from school? They are who, what, when, where and why [some include how].
The five W’s are considered a framework for complete information gathering and problem solving. Answering these specific questions ensures you have a comprehensive understanding of any topic. So it doesn’t surprise me that God gives us a complete understanding and information on the topic of praise in chapter 150 by answering the five W’s.

For example, this psalm is all about praise. So the answer to “who” according to verse 6 is “everything that has breath.” The answer to “what” is according to verse 1 is “praise the Lord.”

Summer Practice

A practical response Psalm 150:

• Praise God in every location — your car, work, school, etc. 
• Use your talents — the chapter emphasizes music. If you play an instrument, use it for worship and to glorify God. 
• Intentionally think about what God does for you each day — that will naturally lead to praise. 

Prayer

Lord of Heaven and Earth, 

Thank You for being so good to me. No matter what this day brings, I choose to praise You with all my heart. Fill me with joy, peace, and gratitude, and let my words and actions reflect Your love. May every breath I take remind me that You are worthy of my praise.
